Founded by a lifelong Tampa resident Ford Smith who built his first new construction home in 1994, Metropolis Developers has proudly constructed over 60 homes throughout the Tampa area. Ford has lived, grown up, and raised his family here for more than 50 years, giving us an intimate understanding of the local landscape, communities, and what makes a home truly feel like Tampa.
Our mission is to build every house as if it were our own, with unwavering dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction. This personal touch is at the core of what we do – our founder is personally involved in every project, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. Over the years, we’ve built strong, enduring relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, many of whom we’ve worked with for 30+ years.
